Browne has been on daily conference calls with the Deputy Incident
Commander from the National Incident Command Center, as well as
representatives from other federal agencies. These calls are intended
to provide an update specifically for local government officials
along the river. Supervisor Browne is waiting for responses about
the length of time anticipated for the lower lake levels and answers
will be posted here as soon as news is received.

ALLEGAN DAM ROAD WASHOUT
August 23, 2010 - Repair is
expected to begin the week of August 30.
August 5, 2010
- The Allegan County Road Commission is continuing negotiations
with surrounding property owners to install a second culvert.
July 8, 2010 - The Allegan County Road Commission
has received verbal approval to place a culvert crossing the road
in the area of the washout. The new culvert will act as an overflow
if the existing culvert gets blocked or does not have the capacity
to handle the flow from a heavy rain incident. The Commission
intends to start stockpiling material on the road to backfill
the washout sometime during the week of July 12, 2010.
